How does Chiropractic work?
Your nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ, and system in your body. In order to do this, nerves pass from the brain down through the spine and out through the holes between the bones of the spine (vertebrae). From here your nerves continue to spread throughout the rest of your body.
Correct spinal alignment and movement is essential for the healthy function of your nervous system. Physical, chemical and emotional stressors during your daily activities can cause vertebrae to lose their ideal, healthy position and movement. This dysfunction is called “vertebral subluxation”. Subluxations interfere with the messages the brain and nervous system send out to the body to control its function. Interference with these vital nerve messages compromises the function of our organs and ultimately our health.
Doctors of chiropractic specialise in detecting and removing subluxations, thereby allowing your body to function at its full potential. Read more about the conditions Chiropractic care can treat.
