Before (image on left):
This is an image of a 40yr old patient.
His neck suffers from a reversal of the normal neck curve called a kyphosis. The risk of neck pain increases dramatically when the neck is kyphotic. This patient had a 12yr history of neck pain including re-occurring bouts of severe, incapacitating muscle spasm.
After (image on right):
Treatment with Dr Darren at North Shore Family Chiros over 3 months shows a noticeable improvement of the neck structure. This was achieved by a unique exercise program in our specialised gym – designed to help remodel the patients spine (just as braces are used by dentists to remodel your teeth).
The neck now has a circular reverse curve which is called a lordosis. This is considered to be normal, healthy alignment. A 3 month follow-up indicates no pain and no further bouts of muscle spasms.
